iPad Air 5 is speculated to launch in Apple Spring Event 2022. The new tablet gets expected to include enough advancements to make the wait worthwhile. We’ve compiled all we know so far regarding the rumored iPad Air 5.
iPad Air 5 display
We’ve already seen a few rumors concerning an OLED display on the iPad Air 5. The iPad Air could be Apple’s first tablet with an OLED display, which would be a huge step forward.
While the iPad Air’s current Liquid Retina LCD is outstanding, an OLED display would offer richer colors, wider viewing angles, and perfect blacks. As a result, both for editing images and videos and for watching the latest Ted Lasso episodes, it would be a significant increase.
The latest study from The Elec claims that the 10.68-inch iPad version (anticipated to become the next iPad Air) will feature a stiff OLED display instead of the movable screen that Apple has been using inside its products from 2017. Based on the source, the remainder of the iPad versions after the 10.68-inch tablet would employ a foldable silicon substitute.
According to a report from The Elec, Apple has decided to abandon intentions to collaborate with Samsung Panel on an Oled screen for the iPad Air.
Apple chose against using an OLED display for the iPad Air “due to pricing and performance not surpassing the company’s expectations,” according to Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-known Apple analyst. The next iPad Air, according to the analyst, may instead have an LCD.
iPad Air 5 design, features, and specs
Aside from the anticipated OLED display, little gets known about the remainder of the iPad Air 5’s specifications. According to one report, the iPad Air 5 could gain iPad Pro-type features like an updated dual-camera system with Center Stage compatibility, which allows the camera to digitally pan and zoom to track a subject across a room.
The iPad Air 5th generation gets also expected to feature an A15 Bionic chip, unveiled with Apple’s iPhone 13 lineup during the September presentation.
A four-speaker audio system, similar to that found in the current iPad Pro 2021 versions, could be included in the upcoming iPad Air 5.
Apart from that, most of its predecessor’s features will be preserved, according to the insider, including the 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display and Touch ID on the tablet’s side button.
Surprisingly, this information contradicts previous speculations of an OLED-equipped iPad Air.
What are we expecting from the iPad Air 5?
- More storage
For $599, the iPad Air comes with 64GB of storage, which is generous. For the iPad Air 5, we’d want to see 128GB.
- Face Recognition
It isn’t a Pro feature because it’s available on every iPhone 12 model. So why not make unlocking your iPad Air a little easier?
- Center Stage
If Apple changes to a dual-camera system, this iPad Pro capability should be easy to the iPad Air 5. During a video conference, the camera would follow you around.
- Portrait Mode
People use their iPads as cameras, as much as we don’t want to admit it. As a result, adding this option would be a nice improvement.
- Battery life is even longer.
On our web surfing test, the iPad Air 4 lasted 10 hours and 29 minutes, which is a decent result.
The iPad Air 5 could get announced at Apple’s next presentation, which will take place on or around March 8th. The iPad Air 5 could be one of three Apple gadgets that have been imported to India “for testing purposes” ahead of the debut in the spring.

Is Meta pulling Facebook and Instagram from Europe? Here’s the complete news!!
Meta might shut down Instagram and Facebook in Europe if it is no longer allowed to transfer, store, or process data from EU users on its US-based servers.
Meta’s annual filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, which got first reported by iTWire, confirms this. The problem stems from transatlantic data transfers governed by the ‘Privacy Shield’ framework and other agreements that the corporation employs to store and use data from European consumers on American servers.
Agreements that allow for data transfer are now strictly regulated in the European Union. In a recent report to the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Meta warned that unless a new framework gets put in place, the company is no longer allowed to use the existing model agreements, it will ‘likely’ no longer be able to offer many of its most significant products and services,’ such as Facebook and Instagram.
Meta emphasized the sharing of data between countries for the services and targeted advertising.
The European Court of Justice revoked the Privacy Shield in July 2020 owing to data protection issues. Since then, the EU and the US have emphasized that a new version of the pact is in the works.
Meta also uses model agreements, commonly known as Standard Contractual Clauses, to process data from European users on American servers.
“A lack of safe, secure, and authorized international data transfers would harm the economy and stifle the growth of data-driven businesses in the EU.” In reaction to City A.M., Meta’s VP of Global Affairs and Communications, NMick Clegg, remarked, “That is as we pursue recovery from Covid-19.” Large and small businesses in several industries would feel the impact.”
“In the worst-case situation, this could imply that a small tech start-up in Germany would no longer be allowed to use a US-based cloud service,” Clegg explained.

Microsoft is testing new features for Windows 11
After announcing last week that the operating system will receive a larger-than-usual upgrade in February with Android apps, taskbar enhancements, and more, Microsoft has disclosed its intentions for Windows 11 testing till 2022.
According to The Verge, Microsoft aims to experiment with features for Windows 11 testers to review that may or may not be released.
“As part of this ongoing transformation, Insiders will see us rely more heavily on the Dev Channel as a location to incubate new ideas. They work on long-lead items and govern the status of specific features,” Amanda Langowski, the Windows Insider Program’s head, noted.
“Some of these concepts will never ship,” she continued, “but by trying more, we can better refine experiences and create Windows solutions that genuinely enable our customers to do more.”
A/B testing like this has been done before, with a small group of Windows Insiders getting access to a feature before Microsoft makes it available to all testers. However, there may be future variations on features that Microsoft does not fully detail.
When Microsoft releases a new build, many Windows aficionados seek new features, turning on hidden features and seeing what Microsoft is experimenting with using flags in the operating system.
“We’re also aware that some of our more tech-savvy Insiders have noticed that various functionalities in the builds we’ve tested have been purposely disabled. That is by design, and we will only speak about things that we are allowing Insiders to try out and provide input on in those circumstances, “Langowski expressed himself.
The Windows 11 Dev Channel will now exclusively test experimental features, leaving the Beta Channel to check features closer to what will get delivered to the general public. New features may surface first on the Beta Channel if they are closer to being released.
To avoid more experimental features getting released, Microsoft wants to give Windows 11 testers a window of opportunity to migrate from the Dev Channel to the Beta Channel.
It gets anticipated to correspond with the February release of improvements such as Android app support, taskbar tweaks, and revamped Notepad and Media Player apps.
