According to a Larian post on Bilibili, Patch 7 will get released in February. Baldur’s Gate 3 “will have a fresh update in February and additional surprises waiting for you guys to find,” according to a recent note from Larian Studios on Chinese social networking site Bilibili, which was seen and translated on Reddit.
Patch 6 was released four months ago, and it was the best update to Larian’s Early Access RPG yet, bringing the sorcerer class, a new location called Grymforge, and equitable salami. Yes, it’s true. Given the length of time between patches, players are anticipating a large one shortly.
Baldur’s Gate is a series of role-playing video games set in the Forgotten Realms Dungeons & Dragons campaign setting. It has spawned two series, known as the Bhaalspawn Saga and the Dark Alliance. Both of them took place mostly within the Western Heartlands.
The Bilibili post commemorated Lunar New Year and the start of the Year of the Tiger. While no comparable patch announcement has to get made on Larian’s English-language social media, it’s likely being held back for a western holiday. After all, Valentine’s Day is almost approaching. What better time to reveal an update that focuses on extending the romance options and possibly adding the smooth-talking bard class?
Or perhaps not. The paladin, monk, and barbarian classes, as well as the ability to multiclass or play as a Dragonborn, gnome, or half-orc, have yet to be added to Baldur’s Gate 3. Perhaps the next update will increase the act’s level cap by one or focus solely on bug fixes? We’ll have to wait and see what happens.
So that’s all about it!! Feel free to share your thoughts with us in the comment section below. We would love to hear from you.
